MY BOOKS & ACADEMIC INTERESTS
I have published three books and numerous articles over the past few years. I particularly enjoy bringing to light undiscovered or unheralded creative souls from the past. Therefore, my first book was about the 19th-century American poet and musician Sidney Lanier, and the second was a re-issue of one of the autobiographies (she wrote three!) of American journalist Elizabeth Banks.
The most recent was a study of American women in the latter part of the 19th century and early 20th century who made places for themselves as professionals -- writers, musicians, actors -- in London. You can read more about my books on my Amazon page: amazon.com/author/janesgabin
